Spring Music Concert- Tonight at 6:00PM. All are welcome to come out and support our music department! Graduation Important Dates: HS Senior Baccalaureate Service- May 21st, 2023 @ 4:00PM @ Greenview United Church - caps and gowns are recommended. The public is welcome to attend. HS Graduation Practice- June 1st, 2023 @ 10:00AM in the morning- Students need to bring cap and gown for yearbook pictures. 8th Grade Promotion- June 2nd, 2023 @ 7:00PM in the evening HS Graduation- June 3rd, 2023 @ 11:00AM in the morning If you have any questions about these dates or times please reach out to Mr. Hoerbert via email- shoerbert@greenviewschools.org

Preliminary student schedules for JH and HS students for the 2023-2024 school year have been given to students. Please go over these schedules with your children, and sign off on them before sending them back to school. We will have an official copy of their schedule when you register your children for school later this summer. This copy will include more detailed information, such as the teacher and location for each class. You will also be able to access schedules in Teacher Ease once they are updated this summer. In the meantime, reach out if you have any questions or concerns!

Please help spread the news! Coach Aldridge will be holding open gym tomorrow Sunday, April 30th and next Sunday, May 7th in the high school gym. Boys and girls are welcome to attend. Open gym is for 4th-8th graders from 6-7 PM. From 7-8 open gym will be for high school students. Please consider joining coach for a great time playing some basketball!

PLEASE HELP SPREAD THE WORD!!!! We have made some repairs to the west parking lot. After school today please do not enter or exit that area of the campus. It will be closed until the early evening. Thank you for helping with this. Student drivers will be dismissed at 2:50 today to help us manage the flow of traffic! All folks picking up students should enter/exit the center entrance on Palmer Street.

Congratulations to Greenview 8th grader Macie Willis on being awarded the DAR Youth Citizenship award! The qualifications are Honor, Service, Courage, Leadership and Patriotism. Macie is a wonder young lady who makes our community a better place! Keep up the great work Macie!

Greenview Drama Club is excited for the spring play! Find out who killed Mr. Body, where and with what Friday and Saturday April 4th and 5th. Tickets will be available at the door. Admission is $7 with popcorn, water and carnations available for purchase. Curtains open at 7:00. Please join us in the high school gym for a great time!

They’re given fake names and lethal weapons. When the lights go out, the host is killed. Can the guests solve the crime before they become victims too?

With tomorrow being the return of Major League Baseball students and staff are welcome to wear the gear of your favorite baseball team!

We are doing some work on the baseball / softball fields at the school to get ready for the upcoming seasons for the kids. We ask everyone please do not touch anything that is being worked on by our staff. We have some great additions planned and want things to be great for the boys and girls! Please avoid the 1st base dugout on the big field until the project is finished.

The school is having a viewing party tomorrow night Tuesday, March 28th starting at 7PM and ending at 8:30 PM to see 5 planets in our field of view. The last day to see this on your own is March 30th. We will be meeting outside between the playground and track starting at 7PM. The five planets we will be able to see are Jupiter, Mercury, Venus, Uranus and Mars. The moon will also be visible. This will happen right as the sun sets and drops below the horizon line. This will last about an hour. Sunset tomorrow is at 7:18 PM. We will be getting out the school telescope to look at the planets and stars. If the weather changes and becomes too cloudy or starts to rain the event will be cancelled. If you have any questions please email jmorris@greenviewschools.org

A reminder tomorrow Friday, March 24th students are dismissed at 11:30 am. Tomorrow before school is breakfast with Bulldogs, families are allowed to join students for breakfast at the start of the day!

Samantha Nahlik has been selected as an Illinois State Scholar by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission for her outstanding academic achievement. We are proud of her achievements, and can't wait to see what her future holds!
